Baxter, Tennesee

Well I went down to Baxter a few weeks ago and this is what I learned. They got a guy on the city council down there that has a ZZ Top style mustache except no beard. His name is Richard Waller. If you saw this guy you'd be a little nervous to ask him for the time. But it turns out he's a great guy. We sat down at the coffee shop and got to talking about the City of Baxter and how things are going in local politics. He said they we're going OK except that he thought his wife was cheating on him, but he didn't say with who. He talked about the big development deal going in on the outskirts of town and how great it was gonna be to get the city revenue going. Then we each ordered a hamburger so the interview was pretty much over.

There's a lot of things to do in Baxter that you might not realize although I can't imagine what.

I did a little research and learned that Baxter has about 1300 people living there and 0.6 of them weren't born in this country. What!? So that's like one guy. Think of what it must be like for him on a normal day in Baxter.

I like the name Baxter if I ever have a son or a pit bull I think I'll name it Baxter.

The weather in Baxter is pretty humid and rainy when it isn't sunny.

In current news the town of Baxter suffered a major loss today, when the Wagon Wheel restaurant burned down. It had been there since 1936. No one was hurt though so that's good.

Other than that I thought Baxter was a real nice town, and if your ever in Tennessee off I-40 about 70 miles east of Nashville you should check it out.
Oh it was also briefly featured in the movie A Coal Miners Daughter. So you know, that's nice.
